He was right, though ... they probably did dig it ... that was just the effect a pretty face and confident manner could have.
Oh ......... She shouldn't have made comment. Story time was not in her plans.
Clara sat down beside him somewhat hesitatingly, wondering how to go about this. It wouldn't hurt to tell him more about herself. "It's a little difficult to explain, because I don't completely understand what happened after ..... the thing happened." Gosh, this was going to be difficult. She couldn't really explain very well without explaining about her .... parents. "It's not a nice story," she warned, giving him chance to back out. Not everyone dealt with hearing sad stories very well.
She blushed at what he said about her work, though, and looked away. "Thank you, again, Michael," she laughed nervously. Heh. Her reaction was odd, considering that she knew she was talented. Perhaps she just had a problem accepting compliments? Wait .... what? He was obviously crazy. "You would hang one in your house?" Definitely crazy, but she humoured him. "Which one?" "What do you like to do?" Clara asked him while she considered his question. "I like languages." Sweet and simple. "Ahhh so I am forgiven for interrupting you." He grinned at her. It had a hint of cheekiness and sincerity in that grin. He was glad that she wasn't truly annoyed at him. If someone was going to be annoyed or angry at him, he wanted to have at least earned it.
He watched as Clara sat down beside him and his brow furrowed slightly and he held up his hands. "Hey I'm sorry for prying, if I had known it was this difficult for you to talk about I wouldn't have asked." Like she had said before, being over confident can be one's downfall and it appeared he had just put his foot into it. "But you know...talking about what's bothering you can help to get things off your chest." That was his way of saying that he was prepared to listen to her story. Nice or not.
Seeing her blush caused him to chuckle softly. It was obviously a guy thing but there was nothing better than seeing the faint tint of colour on girl's cheeks. "I liked the one of the beach." It would look good on anyone's wall.
What did he like to do? "Haha, how much time do you have?" Michael chuckled again because they would be there all day if he went through all the things he liked to do. "I like to restore muggle cars and motorbikes. My mum got me into it." That was his all time favourite thing to do. "What is your favourite language and can you speak any other languages? I know a little Italian, Russian and French." He wasn't fluent like his father but he could get by.
