No hesitation he headed right into the maze. Quickly he found the completely dark passageway. No problem. He would just walk straight, hands out in front of him, and if they hit anything he would go around it, right?

Xavi hadn't learned very many spells yet, but it was apparent to him that he needed a spell to create light. Thinking quickly he reasoned that most spells were latin words of exactly what the caster needed. He didn't speak Latin, but he did speak two latin-based languages.

He tried his native one first. "LLum!" for 'light' no? Nothing. Now in Spanish. "Luz!" Still not a thing. He would have to resort to stumbling through wishing he'd brought a torch to class with him.
