Default post 1 (still trying to focus on happy memories for now)
❄ Chasing Waterfalls & Wonder ❄ | Mama Badger | Eva's Soul Sister | An OG™ | It's all in the Numbers

Tia had been contemplating lots of things, including Dakest's response on confusing power with responsibility. What? Who said anything about that? But her ears were definitely open to learning new magic which would be intriguing and powerful. Even if she wasn't quite convinced she could perform said magic. Especially as Dakest went into greater depth on the difficulty of such a spell.

Happiness was vague, most certainly. But there were some definite things in her life that gave her comfort. Her mind wandered off as her honey eyes found themselves on Sophie's ferret - as it went off to twist around Zander and then Tobes before disappearing (along with Soph excusing herself shortly after). Instead of focusing on her happy thoughts, Tia found herself tinged with envy and unable to focus on practicing her happy memories.

It wasn't until Dakest broke her focus and readdressed the class and said they were going to go through a labyrinth where they may meet lethifolds and dementors (whom weren't real which meant what? She could use a confringo charm on them?)

Oh they could stay and practice just a little longer. The fifth year bit her lip as she heard Zander practicing the incantation and felt a twinge of bittersweet longing as she looked on at his desperate attempts. And offered him an encouraging smile.

She closed her eyes then, picturing her happy, grounding moment. Something that made her feel safe and secure. Her family. Their dinners. The teasing and jokes in which they shared and suddenly she felt herself warming. "Expecto Patronum!" she cast clearly. Only a small mist escaped her wand tip, but evaporated almost as quickly as it came.
