Ap-toh press-soo-rah. Ap-toh press-soo-rah. Cutty repeated this both in his head and quietly to himself. He'd learned over the years to be more aware of his pronunciations of things. His thick and quick accent proved frustrating at times when it came to certain spells in the early part of his academic life.
Cutty did an inventory of the things he'd need for the potion. His cauldron sat out near the tools which included: two stirring instruments one of wood the other of metal, his thermometer since this potion was apparently hyper-sensitive to brewing temperature, measuring spoons, measuring cups (just in case) and the mortar and pestle. He started with the cauldron and the metal stirring instrument. Favouring the clean and heat method. He found it more effective and so after scourgifying them both, he used the heating charm to make sure and kill any remaining micro contaminants. Then, taking one by one, Cutty applied the cleaning spell to the measuring spoons. "Scourgify." Then hit the mortar and pestle each with it, "Scourgify. Scourgify." The spoons were next and he'd grown accustomed enough with them to make it quick.
"Incendio." He lit the burner but did not yet place his cauldron upon it. He just wanted to make sure the fire was none too big yet not too small either since it was sensitive to temp changes. Once his cauldron was room temperature again, he added the pure water to it carefully filling it to it's half way point. He lifted the cauldron by the handle and placed it over the flame.
Now came the wand work. Cutty held out his pointed wand and drew the vertical line in the air straight down whilst speaking the incantation, "Apto pressura." He picked up his thermometer, scourgified it and stuck it into the side of the potion as if it were ill and he was simply checking for a fever.
