Whatever the reason was, Sophie had mixed emotions. Sure, she liked hands-on things, but... she would've been okay with the usual straight-forward lecturing and discussing the runes. Though... maybe this lesson wasn't going to be terribly different from any other class anyway, and she was overthinking it. But... what was with the boxes? No, they were definitely probably going to have to act things out. Soph was good at that kind of spontaneity, though, so... maybe this wasn't going to be completely awful. Could be exciting, really.
"Hi, professor," Sophie greeted the man with a curtsy before moving further into the classroom, offering smiles to all her friends before... seeing a distressed-looking young boy from her own house - Rooney, she knew him to be from their journey to the common room their first night back, and she approached him cautiously. "Y'okay there, Rooney?" the prefect asked before giving him an encouraging, gentle nudge. He wasn't going to have a meltdown or anything, was he? When his eyes had opened, Rooney felt a nudge from his left and looked that way. He managed a smile and a nod at one of his prefects, and loosened his fisted grip on his clothes. "I'm okay, Miss. White just isn't my favourite. Is it always this way?" Because he wasn't sure if he was going to cope if so. That..and he'd probably have to get sunglasses or something. Sheesh, white walls were bright. The first year gave Sophie a little nudge back as he found his niche in being here and smiled a little more. "Thanks, Miss."

The eleven year old looked up when the class was beginning and listened as best as he could with his heart almost thumping out of his chest and his head full of theatre songs. He managed to catch the drift of what they were going to be doing, and contained his excitement very well. He didn't want to let people know that he was a professional actor, nor that he had accepted pay in sweets. Luckily, his lucky number didn't have toooo many people in the group, and this little mite gave Miss Sophie Brown a nudge in goodbye and hurried over to join the third line.
Ready and reporting for duty, Sir!
