TWO whole years of magical education had taught him that he was advanced far beyond his years... where parseltongue, racing creatures and miscellaneous things were involved.
But then... he wasn't NOT being taken seriously?
He was like Emily? He'd heard that once or twice before, but it was always something that was laughed about... and it was NOT a funny topic. "I hope so," he decided, taking it perfectly seriously. If he was going to be like anyone, he'd want to be like her for sure. But yeah, good to see you too Mr. Being-rude-and-then-laughing-in-faces man.
Though he USUALLY thought with his stomach, he was already full, so s'mores didn't sound the least bit appealing. "I'll pass on those, I have questions that you need to answer, if that's cool with you?" he said, casually letting himself past and into the man's office. It looked... different. Like, a cabin. Odd. Of course as with all offices he'd seen, there were books and photos and bits and pieces. Neat.
Casually he helped himself to one of the squishy looking chairs and let his eyes wonder while Sabel joined him. Friendly manly chats were going to happen. It was fairly obvious that his humor wasn't shared. Kid had more serious bones in his body than he could count, but it wasn't enough to dissuade him from his less-than-serious nature.
Shaking his head, Sabel shut the door behind Zeke and followed him over to the chairs. "Doesn't sound like I have much choice in the matter." Truly, Emily's son. It was endearing to see. He'd have to write her about it.
Taking a seat in second chair, Sabel considered the boy and tried his best to be a bit more serious. "What seems to be bothering you?"
