Another year, more classes. Not that Brooklyn minded, especially when it was with professors who respected her. Or at least understood her, although she hadn’t forgotten Professor Quigley telling her she was casting a spell wrong that one time in a previous term. She’d just filed it away and waited to see if he’d make up for it eventually. There was time.
The early start hadn’t bothered her either, and she’d walked into the Charms classroom just as regally as ever. Everyone else could complain about lack of sleep. She’d just prove she was better. “Good morning Professor Quigley,” she said softly, as she’d passed his desk on her way to the open seat she’d claimed as soon as her blue eyes had landed on it. She’d fill out the nametag once she sat down, if it was even necessary. It shouldn’t be.
