Names were important. Mmmhmm. He wasn't ever going to get used to people greeting him so positively like this. "Hello!" he beamed, giving a slight hesitant wave. The older girl was talking to him, right? Though she was right, this was totally the best house, from what he's see so far. "Thanks. I'm Lance," he said, feet tapping excitedly yet lightly on the ground. "Hey, erm, AJ? If this is the best house, what are the other houses like?" Quote:

Her head nodded furiously, grinning widely as the boys met properly. Whoops! She should have done that on the boats. She was silly. ”Yes! Lance, this is Zac… Zac, this is Lance. You are both awesome!” Because it was obviously true. HE was awesome?
Well, he'd like to think so himself, though he'd never really been categorized as that by others. It was, actually, a really good feeling. The young lad sat up a little straighter, toes wiggling in his shoes. "You're awesome too, Marsha."
In case she didn't already know that. Quote:

"Lancelot? That's such an awesome name!" She nodded and beamed more. Oh wait! He wanted to be called Lance. "I mean Lance. It's very nice to meet you Lance." He was quite fond of his name too, though didn't really think about it much until he had to introduce himself to someone new. "Thanks," he grinned, quite proud of the name his mother picked for him. "You have a cool name too." Quote:

He moved forward now so that his nose was nearly touching the young man's while his eyes told a very VERY important story - that this was a TOP SECRET mission. "Can I count on you, Sir Lance, to partake on a very important quest for me?" Ew, onions.
Though he couldn't even be properly disgusted because of the fact that the ghost was literally right in front of his face. RIGHT there. He could just reach out and touch him if he wanted to. Was that possible? To touch a ghost? The young lad's eyes never blinked, nor moved from their wide position. He may have even stopped breathing too, he wasn't sure. There was a ghost in front of him, who could even THINK during a time like this?
Wait. Oh man. Oh man oh man- "Yes, sir," he nodded hesitantly despite his squeaky confident tone, gripping the bench even more, "Anything at all...sir."
Ohmanohmanohman. Quote:

She was never a baby lion herself. Coming in her third year, she was more of a big baby lion. Emmy too. They both started at the same time. She watched the group of newly sorted baby lions. ( Lance, Zach, Evie, Marsha) Then she smiled a little. "Hey, guys. welcome to Gryffindor." Was Emmy rubbing off on her? Or was it these guys cute little faces? Maybe it was both. It probably was both. It was totally cool with how many people he got to talk to already, and most of them being older and more awesome students. He couldn't keep the smile from his face, and the greeting from ANOTHER older student was no exception. "The best house ever, right?" he grinned, tapping his fingers on the table, ignoring the way his stomach growled.
That was, at least, what he's been repeatedly told so far from the others. Quote:

To be honest she wasn't sure about the different houses, everyone seemed to be happy about their own respective houses as far as she could tell. But to her it was just where you would sleep.. right? Like a dormitory. You would still have classes and hang out with everyone. But of course what did she know? She hadn't heard of Hogwarts until a month ago. Then the girl from the train also appeared. Ooh she must be a Gryffindor as well!! Finally another girl to befriend. "Hello Marsha, I'm Evie. It's okay there was a lot going on during the train ride and way too many people to be properly introduced." The brunette's smile seemed to get bigger with each moment with her new friends. As she sat and talked to Lance, Marsha, and Zac her stomach began to growl. Where was the food at? His guilty expression turned into a small smile, a short chuckle escaping him. The girl's laugh was a bit contagious. "Um... yeah! I suppose. Red and gold are cool colors. Plus, I mean, Marsha is here, and Zac...and you, so," he shrugged his shoulders, glancing down the table, up and around, and back to Evie. "How 'bout you?" Quote:

Well… at least if she got attached to it she would never have to worry about it dying on her, like her first kitten had three years before. Whoops, not going there right now! ”Sure!” She replied to Lance, ”Though, can we eat dinner first?” But…. in saying that, food wasn’t ready yet so maybe they could go and adopt their rocks BEFORE dinner. Gosh, she really was hungry. FOOOOOOOD please. Dinner first?
His expression fell slightly as he slowly sat back down. He'd seen a few others already leaving towards the entrance to the Great Hall, and he'd hoped to follow them to make sure he was going in the right direction. Plus, he wanted to get a GOOD pet rock. "Yeeaaaah, I suppose," with a quick look towards all the adults up at the front, he plopped himself back down on the bench. When was dinner going to begin anyways? Did they bring out the food? Did they have to get up and go get it themselves like a buffet? Would there be things he liked to eat that didn't involve onions?? |
