*Seeing that there was still cake on Daisy jumper he was tempted to pull his wand out to clean it, but didn't. Cleaning was for elves.*
"You seem to have this impression that deep down I'm a nice person or something so I'm going to save you some time. I'm not nice, I don't care, so go on with your happy life flower child."
*Normally he wouldn't be so mean but after the summer he had he was in no mood for social protocol, like being nice and respectful.*
"Why do you keep hanging around me anyway?"
*Did she have a crush on him or something? Did she like the cold hearted bad boys? Because that was what she would get with him.* Daisy’s hands clenched into fists and if she had been a cartoon her head would have turned into a giant teapot. As it was, anyone looking at her would have been surprised steam wasn’t coming out of her ears considering how red her face had gotten. “We,” she said through clenched teeth. She was trying very hard to keep from jumping on Noah and beating him to a pulp. “Have very different memories about your broken leg last year. You must have hit your head harder than I thought when you fell out of that tree. You brain-damaged nit-wit! You – fell - out- of the –tree! I didn’t push you, and Circe knows I could have just left you by the lake!”
Despite his prickly inside, Daisy knew that Noah was nice. She had seen it while he had been lying in the hospital ward post-dino underwear freak out. It was the only redeeming quality about the boy who always felt the need to be a rude and nasty jerk-faced-weasel. Maybe he needed to be in pain in order to be a decent human being. Daisy was certainly happy to beat him up routinely if that’s what it took for him to be civil.
“You are so clueless, you nimrod!” Now he was hurting her feelings. Didn’t he get it? She didn’t have many friends and somehow, despite all their bickering, she had thought they’d become friends, but maybe they hadn’t. “And stop calling me a flower child. I’m not a hippie!”
