Yeahhh, Mr White! Yeah science!

Tabby didn't particularly mind if she was ignored completely. She'd chosen to sit with the older kids.. which might have been a dumb move, but they looked SO interesting that she just couldn't resist. She was watching the boys and the girl and the little tiny cat—N'AWWW.. LOOK. AT. IT! It made the little blonde wish she'd brought Waffle to the feast. She might've been able to use him to get some attention focused on her. Cute girl + cute kitten = double the cute, seeee?

But she would be quite content just sitting here listening to the conversations going on around her. Perhaps she would learn a few names in the process.

She beamed at the girl who acknowledged her and nodded enthusiastically. “Just like a cat, yes. It's short for Tabitha. I think it sounds like an old lady name, but a pretty one.” Dot? Like a polka? “I LIKE that name.” She enthused. “It's not a name I'll EVER forget!” Because of the polka. She listened to the older girl, her face lighting up further. “Wow! Does he come to say hello to us?” That was the COOLEST. “Do you ever see the mermaids?”

More smiles were sent around, particular to the other girl who was taking the time to introduce herself. “THANK YOU.” She said gleefully. “Zhenya.” She repeated? “With a Zee?” She drew a 'Z' shape in the air with her finger.

Was that the boy prefect? Tabitha gave him a wave in greeting. 'Hiiiii.' Slytherins were so FRIENDLY.

A nod? Tabby could take that happily and she nodded back and giggled a bit. This one seemed cool as a cucumber wearing a miniature pair of shades indoors.

Bradley—I mean Uncle Bradley to you was a Slytherin too for the five minutes he managed to stay here for.” Still she was proud of him for what he had achieved, including the six nieces and nephews. “I’m sure you dad is proud whatever.” He seemed like that sort of man whose kids meant everything to him.

There we other children talking to Tabby and Layla stood back a minute as her housemates interacted with her. She felt a little awkward approaching the table full of Slytherin’s, like she was invading on their space. She didn’t have any friends in this house at least she didn’t think so after Vin had graduated last year. She glanced down the table, taking in the sights of her fellow seventh-years and the others before turning back to the little blonde. Over excitable little blonde.

“I ain't sure 'bout that” she replied with a teensy tiny smile. “I’m in my robes, I’d look way out of place.” Not that anyone would notice because this table was more over-the-top than her own.
Layla was so tall and pretty and sophisticated and Tabby felt an affiliation toward her for no other reason than they were both blonde. “I thought I'd suit the red better. Red's one of my favourite colours.” But she was very happy to be here among the sea of green. Tabitha had had no expectations whatsoever as to where she would be sorted, but the words 'Gryffindor' and 'Slytherin' had been loosely thrown around at home.. as well as by the talking hat. “Did Uncle Bradley not graduate?” Tabitha's mouth formed a 'O' shape. Oooh. Why not? Tell me Layla while I hang on to your every word.. She nodded in agreement. Freddie's only wishes for his kids was that they would grow up to be rounded individuals and that they would be happy.

She wasn't going to sit? Oh. Tabitha pouted just a little bit. “Blue blends well with green. And look!” She pointed. “There's students in yellow sitting here.” Please join us, pretty, tall, sophisticated Layla.
