She slid into a seat near the middle of the table and gave Cutty a hard look. Bully. He was on the revenge list for what he did to Kyroh, and then she could start learning stuff from him again. And Caleb, who looked... well... "Did you sit on your badge? I can get the nurse. It looks like it hurts, whatever it is."
ALSO HER MINION WAS HERE. HI MINION. Adi got a finger wave and hair toss. Sitting on his badge? No, it was...clearly on his chest. Did she mean he looked gross and in pain?! Well THAT was no good. It was possible, of course - after all, when one was on the lookout for rogue snakes who would embarrass them the first chance they got, it was natural that one's face might look...screwed up and stressed looking. "No, just...on the lookout. So no funny business!" he added with a joke, trying to make light of the situation with a wink. He knew the young girl well enough to know that she was MOSTLY harmless. "Hey Cutty, I heard you met my cousin Braedon.." he smirked. "What did you think of him?" Now this he gotta hear!
As he waited for his answer, he saw Caleb at the table. Man he hadn't seen him in a while. He really grown up. He walked over and gave him a tap on the shoulder so he wouldn't scare the poor kid. "Hey mate.." he smiled and greeted him. "How was your summer?" He was being a curious puff is all. "I think we need to have another kitchen meet up sometime." Now that was a must before he graduated.
Now onto Emmy's cousin Echo who he rarely talked to. He made his way over and wanted to talk to her. "Hey Echo..." he greeted her softly. "How have you been? Just a typical conversation starter is all. "Hey Kace!" Caleb called with a genuine smile as his Hufflepuff friend joined the party. "It was good, lots of relaxing after OWLs...speaking of, bloody hell, it's your last year isn't it?!" he exclaimed. Awww, that was a bummer. No wonder he wanted to go hang out in the kitchens for old times sake. People were getting OLD and leaving!
Plus it was a not so fun reminder that he himself had only two years in this place before he had to be an ADULT and stuff and that was just depressing. Quote:

After a year’s worth of studying for his OWLs last term, the summer break was surely not enough to compensate for the time he spent with his academic books. However, the field trip was somewhat, eventful since he was able to spend it with Josie, and that the kelpie business unfolded...nicely somehow. Lots of action and adventure transpired, but it’s not something he’d do again in the future.
After getting off the carriage that took him to the castle, Ethan made his way towards the Great Hall, and automatically sauntered to the Snake’s table. His eyes were on the Staff Table as he did so, and noted that Professor Millard’s missing, and so is Romanos. The Defense professor’s chair though, was occupied by a man. Well, it shouldn’t come as a surprise since Professor Romanos was MIA last term. Ethan also eyed the very tanned Professor Botros, and his stomach churned uncomfortably. He did pass his Runes OWLs, but the grade wasn’t satisfactory enough for the boy, wondering if he should even be present during his lectures.
Annnd there was the other Mordaunt. The one who didn't make Caleb's hair turn prematurely gray. He smiled and waved at his predecessor, who seemed...kind of gloomy? Hmm. Maybe he had failed all his OWLs. Caleb wouldn't be surprised, missing all that time last term. But Ethan was also smart, so that might not be too likely...whatever it was, Caleb was relieved to see him, ALIVE and healthy and whatnot at this feast as opposed to last term. "Hey mate! How was your summer?" he asked. Hopefully not filled with letters from the school telling him he had failed everything. Quote:

Where in the freaking name of Merlin was she?! -- and he had to spend most of it sleeping or whatever, but the dude was BACK, BABY! Back to seeing his friends -- all five of them or however many there were -- and annoying people for the lulz and just being generally cool and awesome.
The school and NEWTs part was being forgotten about. Obviously.
Oh look! There were some cool people here! WAZZUUUUUUUUP! "'Sup, guys," he said, giving a nod and a smile to the Mordaunts -- jeez, talk about family bonding -- Dante, Adster, Dot and Kace as he sat down on a spare seat, "Good summer and all that?" He kinda missed it already; the sleeping in and hanging out and snogging wheneeeeeeever he wanted. All so great, man. Ugh, Grayson. One person Caleb wouldn't be THAT upset to see go at the end of the year. Still, knowing that Grayson was going to leave at the end of the term somehow made him more bearable. Also, he hadn't seen his sister talking to him in months, which REALLY make him more bearable, and he knew that Ruby and him were like...a THING now or something. There had been a time when THAT had annoyed him as well, but somewhere in the craziness of OWL year last term, that all kind of fizzled away.
Meh. Maybe he'd try and be like...nice or something this term. At least civil. The thought of someone leaving school and NOT liking him really bothered him because...well, it just did. "Hey Grayson, excited for NEWT year?" he asked with a sly grin.
