"I've got tons of chocolate frogs." And Zander Adair didn't just offer chocolate frogs to anyone, okay? They were in high demand. Still with Azalea on his lap, he reached into his pocket to grab one of said chocolates and tossed it onto her lap. BEAM.
"Yeah, I guess I am," he laughed a bit at the immense energy she had. It was a good thing though. She'd need it if this feast was anything like the last few. "Tobes is really nice," he nodded. "And you're okay, I guess." He gave her a big ol' goofy grin at that. Two can play at this game, seeeeeee?
AAAAANNNNNND he was cut short by the entrance of another Prefect. Secretly Zander had been hoping that some of the others would skip out this time 'cause awkward small talk wasn't really his specialty, you know? But it was only Puck and she was a friend. So Zander immediately smiled over at her, despite what looked like a clumsy entrance. "Hey, Puck," he nodded, turning his attention away from Sophie for the moment being. "Did you have a good summer?"
She was pretty chipper today, huh? You could never really tell with Puck. Sometimes she carried extra sass and then other times she wouldn't stop smiling. "Oh uh, no I haven't. I just got--" And then someone was opening the compartment again and this time it was.... DRUMROLL.... Adi! "Hi, Adi! Thank Merlin. And oh, he brought Benny along? Zander lifted his arm to wave at the Gryffindor boy who was still a few traces behind, entirely forgetting about the fact that he was trying to hold down his cruppy.
His cruppy who not even a second later managed to leap off of Zander's lap and somehow make it onto Puck's.

Oops. Sophie didn't mind the nudge - she just nudged Zander right back, grinning all the while. It felt good to be with him again in this kind of setting - it felt right to be headed back to school. The only thing that would've made this feel more right was if Tobes was in the compartment with them and he had a very attractive-looking Head Boy badge pinned to his chest.
In a perfect world.
But this was enough - for now, at least - and Soph giggled a little at the Gryffindor's words and offering of a chocolate frog. "Well, y'know me. Always hungry." She wasn't actually ravenously hungry right now, but she wasn't going to turn down a free chocolate frog, so she opened the package, shoving the whole chocolate frog into her mouth, and passed the container back over to Zander, knowing he was an avid collector of the cards. He could have whoever it was. "'anks," she said through her mouthful.
And then he was teasing her. Sophie grinned and poked his ribs in response, and before she could open her mouth and throw a retort back at him, the compartment door was sliding open.

When you had legs like an amazon it never hurt to display them. "Have you two seen any of the other prefects?" She said, remembering at that precise moment to cross her legs.

To the Prefects' compartment they went! Adi had, after all, told Benny he would at one time take him to check out the Compartment. The bespectacled boy poked his head in. "Heya, guys!'' he said brightly noticing Zander, Puck and... Sophie. "Sophieeee! Congrats on being prefected! Welcome to the club!'' She got a broad grin before Adi turned his attention to Azalea. He had not officially met the crup yet but Zander had told him all about the crup. "Hey, Azalea!'' Would she want to be patted by him? Anywayyy, "I brought Benny with me. Thought I'd show him where we hang out on the train ride.'' And Adi knew no one would mind. Quote:

That's when it all got real for the start of term. No turning back and no further connection to the outside world of Hogwarts except breaks and owls. His said owl was currently perched on his shoulder deciding to behave as Ben himself followed Adi to the front of the train. As much as it had been promised by his best friend, he still felt a touch awkward heading to the prefects compartment.
Couldn't be all bad...right? He get along with a decent number of the student leaders. And brought by one.
The Gryffindor waited as Adi made his appearance by head, actually following the Hufflepuff inside when he had entered. "Hey..." he said simply as he half-closed the door behind him out of habit. There was his fellow sixth years, Puck and Zander, as well as Sophie in the mix. Wait...hadn't there been another eagle?
"Hi Puck," the Ravenclaw replied with a smile, but otherwise unenthusiastically. "Thanks."
It wasn't that she didn't like Puck, it was just... she was trouble, okay? Though she couldn't place a finger on why, Sophie just couldn't trust the girl. Maybe it was considering her detention history or the part she played in the tragedy last term or how Sophie was jealous that Zander wasn't her own co-prefect...
...Ahem. Not that she would ever say that aloud. But maybe that was it. Soph just loved her Zander, okay?
As the boy in question began to reply to Puck's inquiry, there was an arrival of two more - Adi and Benny, and both got smiles as Soph scooted a little closer to Zander, subconsciously hugging his arm and cuddling against it. "Hi boys, 'n thanks, Adi." Awfully nice of him.
...Azalea liked Puck quite a bit, didn't she? Merlin.
