That was polite enough, wasn't it? Not that he cared too much: the second year just hoped that the older guy wasn't the kind to decide that he was now his mentor, or mate, or something just because they'd shared the compartment.
"Thanks." Ethan gave the younger boy a grin, and swaggered inside the compartment and plopped down on the seat farthest from the little monster darling kid. Ah yes. Aren't they all the same? Brooklyn, Maggie, Hugo, and Dante? Yep. Pretty much.
Ethan got his pack of gum from his pocket and offered it to the boy.
"Looking forward to the new term?" Should be exciting since...well, when was Hogwarts NOT exciting, if not deadly?
