Her mum didn't mind worms and stuff but probably she would be sad about it if any of their experiments failed, and Char didn't want to make her mum sad. But Davie's dad never got any sorts of feelings, she didn't think- ONE TIME she had snuck up on him and yelled BOO and he just turned and looked at her and blinked like a lizard and not even jumped or anything at ALL.

"I'm excited!" She said, fanning herself and sending little bits of soil showering from her fingertips in the process. Excited enough that she'd forgotten about the NOW part, which was the getting more worms, and started deviously planning about the future with their FRANKENWORMS. It was going to be so cool, she could just TELL.
