Benny heard the sound of running feet and had turned his head just as Flamsteed grabbed his arm and pulled. He followed obediantly, hearing the door close behind him. At least this time it was to protect him and not box him in as a threat. Box...shiver. The Gryffindor supposed he had it better being free and not a toad. Recovered himself from his rush, he watched the astronomy professor with a touch of concern, about to ask after him when the man managed to speak.
Free Maddox...Quigley...right.
The fifth year moved to the box that rested on the piano and opened it up to reveal the slightly shaken toad. He tentatively lifted up the human-turned creature before crossing to the mentioned couch and setting him down upon the cushions. As he stepped back, Benny heard Professor Flamsteed's questions about what happened, nervous again as the beginning was mentioned, the part of the story that involved him doing something he probably shouldn't have taken part in.
"We were leaving her some butterflies to decorate her office for spring," he answered, the words the only thing he thought of that made sense at first. "Professor Bellaire came in and caught us and Professor Quigley might have pushed her a little too far."
