50. WADDIWASI
Seventh Year

Molly and Arthur
“Molls, can you help me with this spell?” Arthur asked.
“What spell?”
“Waddiwasi. We learnt it last year but I don’t remember the wand movements.”
“Sure. Let’s go to the grounds and find some way to do it, shall we?”

It was a Saturday afternoon, and the two of them ventured down to Hagrid’s garden, where the pumpkins which had been too small for the Halloween decorations were sitting, doing nothing. Molly looked around and found a few strong, sharp sticks and put them into a pile at Arthur’s feet.
“You say wah-dee-WAH-see and point your wand at the sticks, and then try to aim your wand towards the pumpkins after you finish speaking it, like this,” she said, sending a stick flying towards the pumpkins, where it embedded itself into the thick flesh.
“Wow! Nice one,” Arthur said.
Molly smiled and said “Your turn. See if you can embed it too.”
“Wah-dee-WAH-see,” Arthur spoke clearly, and was successful in sending all of the sticks towards the pumpkin, with only one not embedding.
“Seems to me you don’t need any hemp Arthur Weasley,” Molly said sceptically, but smiling.
