Dot preened at the professor's praise of her brain. No one had EVER said anything like that before, not to her. Not about being clever. It made her feel... something. Warm and fuzzy on the inside. Like a sweater in reverse. "Thanks, Professor. M'not a Ravenclaw or anything, but it's the only brain I have."
She wasn't keen on putting on the gloves and the mesh hat thingy, but since it involved food that other people might have to eat, she supposed she could bring herself to wear those things for a little while. And everyone had to wear them, which made it less mortifying.
Dot tucked her braid up into the hair net and glanced around for anyone who looked just as in-need-of-a-partner as she was. "Partner? Anyone still need one?"
