She frowned behind her own mask then looked at the screwed up piece of paper.
Which simply said 'GABRIEL. YOUR BROTHER.' In her terrible writing, the brother part underlined several times. OH! RIGHT. She remembered now, they'd taken measures to protect against the charm that Gabe had warned her was in place because honestly how gross would it have been if she'd ended up flirting with Gabe tonight? TOTALLY gross. And she'd worked so hard to make sure he looked decent too...
AND to make sure she did, actually. And now they were at some voting thing? There was voting? Well Ruby'd love to be voted as winning but she'd 'actually dressed up for herself. Gabe hadn't told her there was going to be voting. So far though, she seemed to stick out. There was one girl right there in white, but not even close to the same style or aesthetic.
... she did like that girl's dress though.
But honestly, prefects, it was hard to make a proper entrance when people couldn't recognize you and you couldn't recognize people. At least the brother issue had been solved for her but where was Grayson? Or Paris? Or David? Or Forrest? Or other certain attractive males she enjoyed the company of?
... would she recognize Phe? Because who else had hair like Phe? Unless he slicked it back. She'd changed up her own hair for the event too, pinned it up and back, so nobody would be able to look for her usual sleek style and bangs, unfortunately. Or maybe fortunately if Gabriel was to be believed this was a good idea.
She nudged him and pushed the little note into his hand then pointed at him, then at herself. Did he get it? Right?
Oh the first compliment of the night and hopefully many more right? Ruby smiiiiled at the.... uh... girl. Okay. And y'know, looked her over. Right.
"Thanks, Your outfit is... very brave!" She said brightly. Yes. That was a compliment of sorts but she also didn't get why someone wouldn't take the opportunity to dress up pretty, or even if not a nice dress, then a proper masquerade costume which was more fantastical and less... oh well. As long as whoever it was, was happy.
But anyway, on to more important things because LOL now she knew that was Gabriel.... yeah she was moving on. And it wasn't like he was nervous tonight or anything...
She smoothed her palms against the fabric covering her thighs and then breezed inside properly, the sort of walk that drew the eye. She was good at this stuff, and honestly she felt like a queen in this outfit. Who knew that making connections through the Pandora's Box thing would benefit her like this? Now to see if the whole ensemble benefited her in other ways. Time to make new friends!

'RUBY. YOUR SISTER.'
........Glancing between it and the girl in the very nice dress, Gabe squinted some. Well, yes...he could believe that. She did have his sister's aura of 'doing it better than everyone else', didn't she?
And this was good. NO FLIRTING WITH YOUR SISTER...Although, the thought of Gabriel Banner flirting with anyone...Well, it was just a funny thought. Gabes didn't really flirt....which meant.....he should probably try...so no one caught onto the fact that it was him.
Ruby didn't wait around...because the next thing he knew, she was prancing off in other directions. Gabe really hoped he didn't forget what she was wearing...A professor had obviously cast this charm. Who knew how strong it would be or the technicalities?

Well, that was awfully nice of the self-proclaimed girl. To Gabe, it was hard to tell any gender differences...but he got the vibe she was going for. ALL FOR ONE and ONE FOR ALL.
...and because the potion he'd taken was making him abundantly calm. Without the nerves, he forgot about the anxiety and the fact that he shouldn't have been smiling so much. Why didn't he always feel like this?
"You have very blue eyes." That's how Gabes did the compliments, thanks. Compliment features in his awkward little way...Though, it didn't feel as awkward at the moment.
Nope. Nailed it.
Eden BEAMED. See? That was exactly what she WANTED. BRAVE. BECAUSE SHE WAS A MUSKETEEEER AAARGGHH! Hehe. Though technically, D'artagnan wasn't a....musketeer, was he? EH. Whatever. She was still all WHEEEE about it. She wished could...find Nemo or Damien but...she didn't see them anywhere. She wasn't sure she'd even recognize them if....she did. Hmph. That could be potentially very dangerous.
She WIDENED her eyes at him at his comment.
"I know, right?" she smiled and cast her eyes around at the costumes...everywhere. Most people had done such a traditional route. Hmmmph. She wiggled her mustache. "This thing is ITCH-AY." She proclaimed.
"I don't know how you guys DO it--though--you're pretty clean shaven SOOO--" Yeah.
Eden might have been a LITTTLE chatty due to....multiple things. For one, she was very nervous. Being alone made her NERVOUS. She didn't like it. For TWO, she had on a mustache and a cape thing and yeah...not a traditional GOWN or something. So while she felt cool and stuff, it was still a bit...nerve-wracking. For THREEEEE....this guy was handsome looking AND he seemed to at least marvel at her eyes a bit.
"But uh...yeah..you have a...um....nice jaw-bone."
