A light chirping growl of discontent sputtered from it as it scrambled forward on the stone, away from the casting and right to Simon's boot. There, if it did not get stepped on, it would curl up around his ankle, just under the hem of his pant leg.

Sabel, however, was much slower in his approach. Still checking crevices and cracks, he cast a glance toward his friend. His brow was knitted with a mixture of amusement and worry, all comipled into one. "Hey......"

Did he see something living? "Uh...yeah...about ten minutes ago."

Ten frustrating minutes. And if he didn't find it, it would be a whorl-wind of trouble. Pausing in his search of the floor at his feet, Sabel cast a glance towards Simon. After Rainey's instructions and Simon's question at the conference, this could go very awkwardly. No. He shook his head. This was Simon. He could trust Simon. And Simon had seen something. Maybe.

Definitely. With the casting of that spell, it was definite yes. Hurrying over with tip-toeing steps, Sabel looked about wildly on the ground. "Where did you see it?"

Sabel acknowledged the greeting with one of his own. The look on his friend's face was one that sent an eyebrow or two of Simon's own up a little higher in curiousity and concern. So he had seen something, something living, several minutes ago. Did that mean that the other man had been following it? Was that why the auror and the it were now currently in the same corridor with him?

He continued to glance around but his spell turned up nothing other than the reaction it got. There was a new sound and then more scuffling and suddenly he felt it. There was something on his foot...no...wrapped around his ankle and he froze in place. One, because he didn't want whatever it was to get any troublesome ideas and two....so maybe whatever it was could be caught. Because yes...they would be catching it and taking care of it, mainly because he didn't want to be the one to have to explain why he was the one who caused another infestation...of whatever it was.

Simon's eyes flitted up as Sabel awkwardly moved closer to him. Where had he SEEN it?

"Left...foot."

As in he felt more than saw it under his pant leg.
