Emmalee decided to take a bit of a stroll around the rest of the party, now that she was done at the head table. She was particularly on the lookout for folks she recognized from her department. She knew many of them, having worked there, but she didn't really know them, if that distinction made any sense. And she felt a need to almost reintroduce herself as the boss.

So when she spotted the woman who had been Bryce's assistant, that seemed as good a place to start as any. "Veronica, right?" she said, approaching the fellow red head with a smile, wondering if word had reached her about the changes in the department. "How are you?"
