Isla watched in curiosity as Kace talked to his owl, Charlene. She watched the interaction between the two as the owl hooted and then Kace said that she could pet her. "Do you speak owl or something? Is that possible?" She smiled, uncertain of actually wanting to pet the owl now. She rose her hand out to pet it, but gave him a questioning look before she would continue. It could have just been a mere coincidence that the owl hooted at the exact same time he asked the owl a question and for all she knew the owl could attack her. Okay she might be over thinking this...
"Tension is right." She said, shaking her head at all of it. It was overwhelming really. Wait...best friends? She blinked. They weren't best friends, they had only just met! She wouldn't question it though but she was definitely curious as to what he meant. "I understand that. My brother used to talk about this girl he liked all the time and I felt like I really knew her. But yeah...Vinnie. She's...nice." She nodded. Awkward.
Kace laughed and shook his head.
"Nahh I do not speak Owl. I just know her hoots to know that someone can pet her." he shrugged. He kind of knew the deal since he had Charlene for a while. He saw her stall and he smirked and he petted her and she nuzzled her head underneath his petting.
"See she won't hurt you.." he assured Isla. He knew she was being cautious and it was understandable.
He nodded and just looked out the window admiring the view to the owlery. He didn't want to press the tension seeing Isla felt uncomfortable. He heard Isla's tone when she mentioned Vinnie and something didn't seem right but he let it go. He shrugged and decided on another topic.
"So what brought you to the owlery today? You got an owl of your own?"
