Well, what he thought was better wasn't. Or maybe it was. AJ was too stubborn to admit anything. All she knew for sure was that she didn't want to fight with him ever again.
"Maybe it was," she said with a shrug. Meaning she was dropping it. Put up with her?
"I'm a delight to be around." And as far as the hair went.
"Maybe not, but I'm sure I can ruffle their hair up and get it just the way I like it." "I kicked your butt in the taco competition." There was no doubt about that. Really, nobody should come against her when it involves food, and especially when it was her favorite food. She was going to kick his butt in this competition too.
Oh no. She was already down because the first time she tried out the spell, it didn't work. There wasn't any time for this. AJ grabbed her lemon.
"Magimus." The circle she drew was beautiful. It worked. There were sparks and everything. Adi was on his last fruit now. She picked up her tomato, but before she could even cast he was done. Ugh, did she mention that she really hated losing?
"I bet I can get more porlocks to come out than you can." This wasn't over Adi.
"Magimus." Her tomato was all shiny and perfect looking. Man, she really couldn't help but wonder what a sweet tomato tasted like. The lion took a tiny bite out of it.
"Weird." She wasn't sure how she felt about it.
Without waiting for Adi, AJ rolled her fruit out making sure not to go all baseball arm so that the fruit wouldn't smack one of the creatures or anything. That would be a good way to not get to pet anything this lesson. C'mon. She wanted more porlocks than Adi.
