Concerned, the redhead bit her lip as AJ lied and told her nothing was wrong. A normal response, and one she would have probably given in the other girl's place. Good. Lux didn't seem mad at her, and AJ was glad because she considered Lux a good friend. The lion really did feel bad about almost knocking her over. How did you do that and not even notice? Was she really that bad off over Adi? Goodness, she needed to get a grip.

Adi. Just hearing his name sent a sharp pain to her heart. How was Lux so attentive? Her own sisters hadn't even caught on that something was wrong. AJ thought about lying again, but she knew that Lux wasn't going to be fooled by that. Maybe it would be good to talk to somebody about it.

AJ took a deep breath in, and looked up at her friend. "Yeah, it does." Okay, that wasn't very forthcoming. "We got in a huge fight and I don't even know where we stand anymore." She bit her bottom lip as she stared off into space.
