Quite honestly, a postman would probably just carry the package across carefully, but Caleb was not a real postman and was not about to carry her across out of fear of dropping her and really hurting her! He was happy she had agreed to the ice thing...that sounded more creative, and maybe they'd get more points that way!

"Alright, one, two...three!" he exclaimed, pushing her across the ice and watching as she sliddddddddd right over the ice and into the normal part of the lane once again. Success, and no one had gotten hurt!
