At the professor's instructions, Dot tried to penguin walk toward the starting line, although she was slow enough that she could hear her partner's explanations very clearly. A poisonous and pretty plant. How very Slytherin, although she doubted that he didn't know where his name came from. That was a standard question kids asked when they were growing up. "You know you're pretty. Are you also poisonous? I think I deserve to know that."
She WAS ready to go, actually. Waddle-hop-waddle-hop. "You should carry me. Don't flirt with me, though, because I'll break your heart. I'm devastating."
Honestly? He knew nothing about vases, except they could break, but that was something everyone knew. "Perhaps." Dot was right, he couldn't deny that, but he wouldn't openly admit it.
NOW, they had to do this quickly and that was the tricky part. Oleander was certain the postmen took their precious time when delivering a package, so he was failing to see how this was anything like the real thing. He liked Moxley's approach, though. Both Slytherins seemed to be ready, then, and Oleander merely smirked at her comment. Yeah, he knew. "I'll tell you a secret once we're done." So she could ponder on poisonous plants all the way.
Laughter, yeah, it happened. Not devastating, but probably deadly, and extremely clever, but he said nothing on that. "First you ought to have my heart," and it was safely kept away from any harm. "Now that I have your permission...," he said, before lifting her off the floor and... realizing she'd been heavier than he thought, he simply dealt with it by making noooo comment on the matter. Girls and weight didn't always get along.
Off the go, right into the lane, and almost running. Almost. Because Oleander wasn't the strongest guy, and this was too much effort, Moxley. Until... a mud puddle? "Is that even an obstacle?" Seemed pretty lame for one, all he had to do was run through it. The biggest obstacle was carrying the crystal vase. He decided to lift Dot over his shoulder, it would be easier to see where he'd be stepping into. Not looking forward to getting his shoes dirty, but that was a small price to pay to get the package across, no? "Guess crystal vases can be upside down for a bit." Given her current situation. No promises, remember? |
