Going back down to a walking pace, was probably safer, though. Evie grinned as she watched him and then looked down at her completely bubble-wrapped self once he taped her up.

"Well, I think I look marvelous," she said, giving her bubble wrap dress a spin, even though it didn't do anything but squeak. "Thank you, Mister Postman. I'm ready for shipment!"

Speaking of shipment, it looks like they were ready to go. Evie looked down their lane and saw all sorts of obstacles she had to get through. Mud, puddles, gate, ferocious stuffed dogs. She glanced at Caleb. "Want to carry me?" She asked, teasing. Kind of. Only kind of teasing.
"I'm all sweaty from running...what if the bubble wrap slides against my sweat and I drop you?" Caleb asked with a laugh. It was mostly a joke, but he was really afraid of dropping her. That would NOT make this fun at all, it'd be super embarrassing!

"I WILL lead you though," he said with a smile, taking her bubble wrapped arm (as good as he could, being wrapped to her body and all) and started down the course. First obstacle...ice patch. GREAT. Caleb hated ice - he'd rather face the mud!

"Ok, so...I hold on to you tight and we move slowly across it?" he asked. That was the best way to cross this, he figured, aside from just sliding her across like a toboggan. He decided to bring up that option, JUSTTTT in case she was up for it because hey, why not? "Or I could slide you across, I'm sure you're all slippery," he chuckled.
