The similarities between the two cultures were rather striking, and she definitely was around muggles a fair bit. Muggles were pretty awesome really. As the focus turned to mail, Lux raised her hand to answer the next question. "Muggle mail moves a lot slower than ours. In fact, it's often referred to as snail mail for that very reason." Because snails were very slow creatures. "Their mail needs to be sorted for delivery and is either delivered to an address, or left at a place called a post office where the person the mail is for goes to pick it up. It also costs money to send mail, and packages are weighed to see how much they cost. Fragile items can be insured for in case they break enroute." Hopefully she was correct in all this because she wasn't too familiar with muggle mail, mostly using owls. |
