Beaming, she excused herself from those she was with and hurried to that beacon of silver. "Uncle Corin!" she said colliding with him and giving him a big tight hug. "I didn't know you were going to be here. Is Vick here too?" She noticed the book he had been looking at before she had ran into him, literally. "Is this your yearbook?" she asked, leaning forward as he did to look at the picture on the page. "Is that you?"
Just as he was about to do the bad habit of over-criticizing his greying looks he felt something run into him, and braced himself just in time before his forehead collided with the glass. “Oh! Emmaleigh, its you.” the silverfox smiled warmly at the redhead. “Well this is a Governors-sponsored event, it wouldn’t be becoming of me to skip out on it.” Not after all the preparations and such. Even Corin understood that he too must enjoy the fruits of their collective labor.

“Ah yes Vick....” he paused as he looked at the former Hufflepuff sincerely “Last we spoke he said he received the invitation...” as they all did “... But I had to come here ahead to oversee preparations and he didn’t really say when he’s coming.” Or if he was coming. He gave a pensive smile to his nephew’s best friend “He’s doing quite well you know, breezing through his scholastics while maintaining his job, almost as if--” and he didn’t finish. He didn’t need to say it. Emmaleigh knew exactly what it was.

And she saw his yearbook. Theres a tiny part of him that wanted to turn Emmaleigh around so she didn’t have to see the chipmunk that stared out of the page-- but it was too late. “Yyes that’s me.” the Governor chuckled “I wasn’t always wrinkly or silver.” Or healthy for that matter.

"How are you finding the party? Anything you wish to add or have?"

Although the truth was that the only reason she was finding it so surreal was because she was having a hard time deciding why she was back. So far she hadn’t seen anyone wandering around the reunion that she’d graduated with, yet she’d seen quite a few that she recalled teaching during her short tenure as a professor. That was likely the reason she was finding the reunion so amusing, as well as just entertaining herself with theories as to why Jared hadn’t chosen to come with her. Just because he hadn’t been a student hadn’t meant he wouldn’t have been welcome. She knew that for a fact, just as much as she knew that was likely the exact same reason he wasn’t there with her. Instead, he was home with Seraphine, unless he’d decided to take their daughter out for an adventure.

And she was here. She’d thought about wandering over to the Ravenclaw table, just to see if there was anyone there who she’d graduated with, but instead she’d meandered her way over to the stands holding an array of yearbooks. Along with a scattering of people both looking at their old memories, as well as just having all sorts of conversations. She wasn’t about to interrupt, either verbally or otherwise, and she’d decided to go glance at the books from the years she’d taught. Those held very different memories from the ones from when she’d been a student, yet for the most part they weren’t bad memories. Just different ones, that had turned her path in the way it had ultimately headed.
On his way to grab more food, Salander ended up in the Year Book section of the event. Given that this is Salander that winning sense of direction shouldn’t be surprising. But hey he was here and he remembered he had some pretty awesome titles in these pages—although the only one that stuck to him was Future Minister of Magic, which he found flattering but completely preposterous. Does anyone have any idea how much a Minister makes in a year? Yeah see why?

Just as he was peering through one of the display cases he though he saw someone really familiar but haven’t seen in a long time, heck longer than most people at the event. He turned round the corner and smiled broadly. “Professor Bishop! Its good to see you here.” after you suddenly disappeared and broke his heart
