He needed to because he was already here right?

He raised his hand and went.....

Knock Knock Knock!

After he did his friendly knocks he waited outside the chairs for the professor to answer.
Having always been more of a tea fellow, Airey surprised himself by making himself a mug of hot chocolate this morning. Blowing softly over the liquid's surface, he was just about to plop one of his gourmet marshmallow's on top - a parting gift from his sister all the way from France - when there came a knock at his door.

Oh! A visitor so soon? Not that he minded, of course. Mug and marshmallows down on his desk, Airey gave Pebbles a light pat on her rocky head and a salute to a still sleeping Hershel, the astronomer strut over to the door and pulled it open.

"Ah, good day, Mr. Lecium," he greeted the Hufflepuff. "What can I do for you this fine day? Perhaps a cup of hot chocolate or tea?"

Mostly so he wouldn't reprimand her in front of the entire class or glare at her or express inevitable disappointment in her even if he didn't mean to do so in front of everyone.

Approaching the office door, Soph listened first to see if she could hear voices inside - she couldn't hear much of anything, so she took a deep breath, knocked calmly on the door, and offered up in case he could hear her, "It's Sophie Brown, professor." So he could mentally prepare himself and there would be no surprises when he opened the door and his whole demeanor wouldn't dampen at the sight of her. Eh hem.

She'd planned this meeting very well, clearly.
Sitting at his desk with muggle paints and tiiiiiiiny brushes to his right while a crisp white rag and cleaning solution was to his left, Airey sat with his magnifying headset set to the highest setting while he peered at his USS Enterprise NCC-1701 with the concentration of a mission control officer during a launch. He had a delicate operation ahead of him, repairing some of the paint that had been chipped off his latest find in the muggle flea markets. Poor sap had no clue he was selling a one of a kind and out of production collectible for so cheap. He had almost felt obligated to inform the bloke, but had refrained.

Picking up the brush with the smallest point and unscrewing the grey paint, he nearly jumped out of his skin when the knock came on his door. "Come on in, Miss Brown," he called back, giving his wand a flick towards the door to unlock it. "But do so quietly and sloooooowly."

No loud sudden movements as he tried to fix this one spot...

OOC: you may post in the office now :3 welcome!

Knock knock knock.

Maybe she would be able to speak with Flamsteed without getting hurt, crying, or setting herself on fire for once.
"What's that, Pebbles? You fancy a walk?" the astronomer nonchalantly asked his pet rock while sticking his bookmark into his novel and setting it on the coffee table. Summoning her pink leash from the hook on Hershel's cage, he had just grasped it out of the air when there came a knocking.

On second thought, the walk could wait. Especially when he smelled what he thought he smelled.

Leaping up from the sofa, he walked towards the door and swung it open. "Miss Wright, hello," he smiled nervously. He hadn't done anything this time too, right? "What can I do for you?"

He doesn't even like doing homework...

But he didn't came here just for that, he had other questions as well which was about the school so yeah... He loosened his Gryffindor tie a bit and calmly knocked on the door instead of banging on it like earlier years. He was fourteen now, not a little kid. He then turned around and sat down in a seat and waited.
Well, that certainly had been a pleasant sounding knock. Setting his tea down on his desk and moving some paperwork to the side, Airey stretched his legs and walked towards the door to open it.

And was incredibly surprised when he saw who was on the other side of the door.

Mr. Hirase. Sitting quietly after performing a polite knock on the door. Well, this was looking promising - in terms of a professional setting. The astronomer was not foolish enough to think that the boy would ever lose his fire or Gryffindor sass, but if he was learning how to channel it a bit better...well...that certainly was progress!

"Good day, Mr. Hirase," he greeted, trying to keep the tone of surprise far from his voice. "What can I do for you today?"
