Silas quirked a brow up at the other boy and smirked. "I just left the feast. Just like everyone else did. I think I will pass on the cupcakes and things and sit for a bit to let my food digest. So pardon me for wanting to have a sit down. Okay. Nice to meet you, Zander Adair, Prefect Extraordinaire." Now shove off and let Silas alone for a few minutes, please? Thank you.
Now the Prefect had made the boy grumpy. No bueno. Could he just go to bed now? That'd be SUPER. Quote:

She assumed 'that' was whatever had let the 'dead' one to his well...apparent death?
But no one sounded too panicked, and people were greeting a Professor, so Amur allowed her curiosity to hinge on the portrait that served as their door. She stepped slowly forward, keeping close to the wall to allow other students to pass by. Only once she was satisfied her curiosity was at bay, did she turn around and...
Her jaw dropped. It was like walking into the core of the sun. Everything was so bright and festive. And the common room was beautiful. All decorated up it was gorgeous, and she could only imagine how lovely it would still look after all the deocrations were taken down. It felt homey. And that, was important. She had feared she would miss home, but this little area and the smiles and good humor that filled the room dismissed that thought completely.
The fire was the most inviting, and of course the deserts that were piled close to it. Zander and Mr. Pink Shoes had proven to her that the food at the feast wasn't a trick of her imagination, so she had eaten some. Enough to be satisfied. But that didn't mean there wasn't room enough for deserts. There was always room for deserts.
Scooting around boys on knees, kids stuck staring at the window in awe and happy reunions, Amur made it to the table and quickly grabbed three chocolate frogs, which after a moments hesitation she stuck up her sleeve, a handful of popcorn and a nice, steaming hot chocolate.
The pumpkin pastie was already halfway in her mouth it smelled so good, before she realized she was standing directly across from Mr. Pink Shoes and Prefect Zander. Her shoulders rose to try and hide the embarrassment on her cheeks and she gave them both a slight wave with her hot chocolate mug, careful not to slosh it as she move over to them. Upon nearing, she noticed that Mr. Pink Shoes and Zander both looked a little less than happy. So she did the only logical thing possible, and plopped herself on the floor beside the couch, holding her hand with the popcorn up above her head in offering to each of them.
........... OKAY....... He knew this was going to be a tough job, but no one said that he'd have to deal with rude people who had both a disregard to feelings AS WELL AS terribly snarky remarks. Rude. Just plain rude. Fine. Well, if he wasn't going to try to enjoy it then Zander didn't want him to enjoy it anyways. The Prefect Extraordinaire, going to pretend it was a compliment SO HA real winner over here, narrowed his eyes at Grumpy over here.
Fine. "... Just stay away from the bungee jumping if you're worried about proper digestion, but do everyone a favor and stay away from the attitude too." LOL WHUT where was this voice coming from? And how did it sound so put together when he was really feeling all weak and tired on the inside. Maybe the badge had bad luck, but it also had swagger power. Mhm. He was sure of it. "No need to sit here yawning, if you're tired.... The dormitories are that way," and he pointed to incase the guy had a momentary lapse in memory or something. He had to bite his tongue just to keep himself from adding a couple of 'um's and 'uuhhh's in there.
This was... Growth? Was it not?
Soooooo, was he a good Prefect yet? And could they call it a day now, please? But you didn't see him yawning about it. Just saying. And just as he was getting ready to turn around and enjoy himself in the company of friends or acquaintances really because again, WHERE WAS KEVIN, he noticed a new addition to this couch area. Oh! It was Amur. Though he was still quite frustrated with the boy, he looked over to the first year and returned her wave with a small one of his own. How long had she been standing there exactly? And.... How much had she seen?
It was a tough thing trying to stay on this girl's good side.
Seeing her hand outreached offering popcorn, he gladly took a couple of pieces. 'Don't bother offering him any Amur, he wants to digest first.' Though he didn't say that out loud, he bit his lip instead. "Glad to see someone's enjoying the Welcome Party," he said with a small chuckle. And yes, yes it was a hidden little jab at the fact that the couch boy REFUSED to enjoy it at all. "Glad you saved a bit of room, huh?" He sure was. But then again, he knew the routine by now so he hadn't filled himself up on purpose just for this. SPOILER!!: Timmmmmy *throws official welcome confetti* Quote:

HAHAHAHAHA.
Timmy couldn't even believe that when she thought it in her head. Walking into her new common room, the blonde's blue eyes glanced from side to side. No way this was going to be her home for the next seven years. Yes! Oh, there was a crowd here already. Making her way though the older students, Timmy peeked and saw their Head of House jump out the window. W H A T? Blinkblink. Noticing a large rope thing, Timila beamed and clapped her hands. "Bungee jumping! I want in!" She remembered her cousin Leonard telling her about when he did it. Getting in line, the girl tried her best to contain her excitement. Ollie was never going to believe this! Slytherins probably had a boring meeting or something. Welcoming people... That's what this was about. So when he spotted another first year making her way through, the Prefect gave her a warm smile. "Weclome, officially to your new home." It really was home, despite the fact that most homes didn't happen to have bungee jumping, vibrant reds EVERYWHERE, and pin the tail on the lion. But other than that, it was totally home. So yes, welcome home Gryffindors.
He had briefly introduced himself to the girl at the feast, though he had conversed with the twin brother a bit more, ironically enough considering that boy wasn't even in his house. Nothing but a good sibling rivalry to help heighten the points race, eh? Speaking of points race, Gryffindor hadn't lost any points yet so this was already such a great start!! Not even a grumpy Silas could ruin this. SPOILER!!: Puck Quote:

It was EPIC. Delicious. Awesome. She wanted another.
Zander gave his CoPrefect a small smile, recognizing the sound of her voice before he actually turned his head to see her. For a person he hardly new before the badge, she was really starting to pop up everywhere. Granted, they were both kinda forced to be at the same everywhere... Okay point taken. "Hey, yourself," he grinned. "This place looks great, I've never seen it more Gryffindor," which made him very, VERY happy. It was brilliant! Absolutely and positively brilliant. "Reckon we can take a nice break after this night's over? Maybe relax by the lake or something." It had been an exhausting day after all.
