Newton going back to work - Polyvore

Her youngest sister was out of the house and back at Hogwarts, and that meant that Newton could finally get some work done. Babysitting seemed to be a lot more fun when the all the kid could do was crawl and eat and gab on in baby speak. During the summer, the twelve year old moved her entire room to the attic for ~no~ reason, causing a gigantic shift in the house as everyone scrambled to claim the now abandoned bedroom. In the end it had been selected as a reference room for anyone to use during work, with all of their old textbooks and several articles comprising the shelves and small desk.

But Newton's days of unpredictability were over, and the young adult wiped her hands on her arm green dress and took a swig of coffee from a steel thermos on her desk. Yes, coffee. Before it had been assorted teas with minimal sugar, as coffee was way too strong for the woman's tastes, but looking after the kid meant constant vigilance, and that required a little pick me up. The same person who preached about how unneeded coffee was was now drinking it not two months later. Ooops.

Leaning back in her chair slightly, the woman inspected her orange nails and made sure they were neat and nice before getting to work. Not that she wanted to, but it was kind of needed. And her mother was always preaching that work came before pleasure. Now was a perfect example, because what Newton ~really~ wanted to do was let her blonde hair loose down her back, kick off her heels, and relax for a while. however, that was an activity for home. And these tan leather heels were way too cute to abandon.
