Tia definitely felt weird standing up here with all the first years. Though she did catch eye contact with someone else who like her seemed older than first year. Fortunately for him, his surname began with G so he didn't have to wait uncomfortably with everyone watching before getting sorted.
The fourth year decided to focus her attention instead on the staff dias while she could see them up closer and she found herself wondering how many of them were here 8 years ago when her brother was here and furthermore, if any of them would realize the connection to their former colleague. Considering the surname variance, she guessed they wouldn't, but who knew what sort of family history was available.
