Dad?

HAHAHA. Cosgrach didn't bother to stop the laugher, but just laughed to himself. Some dad he was, poisoning his kids... and messing up their love life.

He giggled to himself. He deserved the 'Dad of the Year' award, for sure.

"Of course you love him, sweetie," he said cooingly as he shoved the same terrible odour up her nose too. This should take her mind off Ian a bit and help her focus, yep.

Cosgrach lazily countered the hex, enjoying this more than he was mad. He was also glad Dot got it correct in the end, and wrote down the first thing she said, why, it sounded cool as a spell. If only he could create spells... maybe he would name a potion in the honour of -

"Yes, lady madmoiselle seņorita?" What was so exciting, hmm?

Cosgrach, sadly, had to help her focus on the task instead of singing because of too much happiness. So he got up with only a little bit of Calming Draught - enough to calm her down not to sing.

"This will make your voice better." No shame for lying.

"Scourgify." More lazy wand-work from the professor. Anything to help his students, LOL.

"3 ounces," he said at the Slytherin girl, "it also doesn't say how many Wiggentree twigs you should add at step 6. Add until it turns green."

All good?

Noooo, the floors were probably dirtyyy! Besides, she had a task to do.

"C'mon now, Marigold!" he said as he offered her a small glass of a liquid - it would give her A BIT of strength. Only a bit, though. The rest, she should find it in herselffff.

Was it GREAT now?

HAHAHA. Cosgrach just LAUGHED and nodded. "You're right, Zander. Thanks." Was he going to remind this afterwards?

Definitely.

He'd have reminded her of the cleaning spell, but it looked like Culloden had helped her already. Such a nice guy. The Hufflepuff turned back to his potions book, remembering again that he had an antidote to brew, which was when he saw the page he'd paused on. "Sadness draught. I remember that. Did I ever tell you about my first year? Everyone was spiked with alihotsy, and then we had to brew this potion to fix it," Toby said, tapping at the page of the book he was at before flipping the pages again. "But then everyone was saaaad. But I'm not sad anymore."

Hmm. HMMMMMMMMM.

"I think you could do with a Wideye Potion," the Hufflepuff said, cheerfully and decisively. "If it works as the antidote for the Draught of Living Death, I think it'll work for youuuuuu. It'll wake your body up for you so you don't feel so exhauuuuuuusted, 'cause this totally counts as you being affected by a harmful potion."

Decision made, Toby BOUNCED SUPER HIGH ON HIS TOES FOR A SECOND BECAUSE HAPPY ENERGY, and then got his cauldron READY and his potions kit PREPARED and his notes ALL SET UP and the recipe WRITTEN DOWN.

"SCOURgify!" the Hufflepuff cast, pointing his wand into the midst of the cauldron, and then repeating the spell on his mortar and pestle, and then the stirrer. Tobias was still grinning, giddily happy, and kept BOUNCING ON HIS TOES. "Man. I'm so happy. I feel like I can do anything, y'know, Eden? Y'know? I feel INVINCIBLE. I feel like SUPER TOBES. Aguamenti!" That last spell was directed into the cauldron, not at Eden, because he needed a base for this potion.

And so Super Tobes started on his antidote, pulling on his gloves and counting out six of the snake fangs from their little container and placing them one by one into the mortar. This was quickly followed by the four measures of standard ingredient, though honestly Tobias was probably not as precise in his measurements as he might usually have been, what with being all bouncy and happy and distracted by ALL THESE GOOD THOUGHTS. As a result, a lot of the standard ingredient ended up on the worktop, but he still managed to get more or less the right amount in the mortar.

Still with his gloves on, Toby now picked up his jar of billywig stings and added six of those to his CAULDRON, and BLASTED a flame into the firepit below. "IncendiOOO!" Heat set to medium, and counting. Lots of counting. Well... thirty seconds of counting. Toby TRIED to be precise because he was doing this FOR HIS BUDDY EDEN, and as soon as was pretty sure thirty seconds had elapsed, he extinguished the flame with "Finite!"

And NOW IT WAS TIME FOR THE CRUSHY SMASH SMASH PART. Which Toby did, GLADLY. Really getting into FIIIIIIIIIIINELY crushing up all the ingredients together, REALLY GOING FOR IT. This was Toby's favourite part of potions, always had been, it was so fun and YEAH.

Four measures of THAT went into Toby's cauldron, just like the instructions said, and then he grabbed the stirrer. AND his wand, because he wanted to clean it again. This potion needed to be PERFECT. FOR EDEN. "Scourgify!" Aaaaaaaaaand stiiiiiiiiir the potion, three times clockwise, and even sort of dancing along as he did so, 'cause WHY NOT.

Tobias now waaaaaaaaaaved his wand over the potion and... PART ONE WAS COMPLETE. Now he had to let it brew for, like, ever, and then just the finishing touches. So now he could concentrate on being happyyyyyyy.

And SPINNIIIIIIIIIIING on the spot again, and hip-waggling and DANCING. "'Cause I'm happyyyyyy, clap aloooong if you feeel like happiness is the truth, nanana happyyyyyy, nananaaaa nana nanaaaa, lalala, ladadadeedah..."

[[ooc: from here, and I'm also assuming the cauldron is filled with water to start with as some sort of base, otherwise there's no liquid mentioned ]]

Eden sat up when Toby gave her a gentle shove--and blinked a whooooole lot before wiping her eyes. Okay. She was feeling a TINY bit less exhausted--at least she could think straight right now. And then He was suggesting a Sadness Draught..that MIGHT counter his...happiness one. Yes. Eden flipped to that page in her book and then glanced up when Culloden helped her out--"Oh--thanks--" she said in his direction before squinting down at the ingredients in her book.

Her hands were still moving so...slooooow. But at least her MIND was awake. She tapped her wand gently to her cauldron and produced some water in it--and wondered how she was every going to cure Toby. She lacked SKILLZ. Like seriously.

BUT ANYWAYS.

It was time to brew some stuff! YEAH. She needed very SPECIFIC ingredients--so she slloooowly stood and shuffled over to the ingredients cabinet and pulled what she needed..yawning just slightly as she sloooowly shuffled back to her seat. She ruffled Toby's hair as she passed, though, to show she wasn't as grumpy as before. She felt like she could DO this.

Sadness DRAAUGHT.

Why did this require chocolate? Eden wanted to eat the chocolate. So she just hoarded it for herself and decided not to use it because she wanted to eat it. So there. She was sure the potion would still work...ahem. In her somewhat tired state, this was a GOOOOOD idea. -___-

Dropping siiiix little dots of the special water into her cauldron, she glanced up at Toby and siiiiiiiighed. "I hate that song." She said ....oh...the grumpy was back? But she really did dislike that very old song. Yep. But she didn't tell him stop--she just did a lot of sighing while pouring the butterbeer into her cauldron--she wanted to hoard that, too, but she really had to stop herself because then the potion would really not not not NOT work. And then came the fluxweed--oohh--how many did her book say? Seven? Eden squinted at her potion which was turning a very.....brown color and wondered how many she had done. OOOOOoooooooops.

Glanced up at Toby and then back at her potion she hoped she didn't kill Toby Tempus ;___; Everyone would hate her, surely.

She wasn't sure she was doing it in the right order either....

OH NO.
