It was funny how just when a question popped into his head that the answer was given. It was hard for a Hippogriff to dry when it was still in water, and so when he was instructed to coax Helios out of it, he was only too happy to do so.

"C'mon boy, time to get you proper dry," he said birghtly, cocking his head to the side by way of asking to beast to follow his lead. He waved his hands toward himself too, coaxing the beast nearer and patting him every time he came close enough.

Once completely out, Zeke took up the comb and started smoothing down his feathers. "It would feel weird flying with wet feathers, and we don't want them rumpling," he mused while he worked. Helios gave him a nod with his head, before then trying to shake himself off a bit.

When you want to land, pressing your body against it long enough will have it lower. From then on just like on the ground, constant praising after directing them will suffice. To have them run off but stay on the ground, patting the backhind near the tail will do it." Now were they ready? "Annnnnd... Go!" Because he was as he lightly clicked the sides of his feet onto the Hippogriff making it squawk at a certain volume before taking a few steps before flying into the air. "See you all at the finish line."

As instructed, it's now a race to the end. You can either ride your Hippogriff on land or in the air. Both will have their challenges from directing to avoiding distracting animals and objects.

- Race your Hippogriff to the finish line. -
+ If staying on the ground: Patting the backhind will send them off. There are logs and worms on the ground, which they will happily enjoy unless persuaded well enough to move on.
+ If flying in the air: Clicking feet against the hind will send them off. There are trees branches and birds on the ground, which they will happily enjoy unless persuaded well enough to move on.
+ If had already been partnered with someone: Alternate the commands and directions.
+ Use consistent commands and praises to direct them along as they may veer elsewhere.
+ Press body against them to stop and/or land them.

This should take five labeled posts to complete. You have until November 11th @ 11 pm (EST). =)

And zomg!!! zomg!!!! ZOMG! This was the BEST bit. This was going to be awesome!

Zeke was already stoked at having the opportunity to meet the Hippogriffs, name a Hippogriff and ride it, but RACE it... yeah, that was going to be as cool as frozen beans!

After watching the Professor and listening to his instructions, Zeke turned his attention back to Helios. "Reckon we can take them on?" he asked, stroking the beast down the neck and across the shoulder. Helios seemed to be fairly clued in, and soon his knees bent to lower himself to the ground. It was at this stage that Zeke gripped him behind the wing on the back to steady himself and with a little bit of effort managed to get a leg over to the other side of the beasts body... and then he had to right himself... or, he would have, had he been given the opportunity. Helios didn't bother waiting till he was ready before he started rising, leaving Zeke wobbling on his back though he was torso-flat on its back. "Whooaaaa. A bit of warning?" he stated once he composed himself, seated properly on the beast now.

"Ready boy?" he asked to fill the void, it seemed as if he was itching to get going, just as eager as him to feel the wind, the speed.. were they going to gallop or fly??? He was open to both, but was DYING to fly. At the word GO, Zeke clicked his heels against Helios' hindquarters, and WWWOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHH!!!! They were off!!!

The power, was immense, the thrill, was amazing... and here they went!

"Weeeeeeeeeheeeeeeeeee!" Zeke called, holding on tight to keep on right. "C'mon Helios!"
