It all worked out in the end, because all she'd wanted to get out of that day was her license.
Also, Lex, keep a low voice when discussing apparition, yeah? Muggles all around.
Lotus nodded. On the count of three. Yes! One... two... this count she made, not the portkey one, figures. Three! And... man, this wasn't as easy as she thought it would be, you know. Getting to the top fast was going to be rather difficult as one floated about. Kind of. "Remember the anti-gravity lesson?" Did she remember how to move in that environment? Same goes for this. Only they truly got to experience it with magic.
That yearbook boy, Gabriel was it?, was probably having a blast in this trip, he was very into science and would be fascinated to know how Muggles made this work.
Enough about him. The seventh year finally managed to keep a steady pace, and was moving up! All the years of climbing trees... made no difference, because she had gravity on her side back then. "Slow and steady, but still fast." Hear that, Lex? Just like the anti-gravity lesson. Yup.
Deal.
That sealed everything now didn't it? Solid plans for later on that she'd fixate on rather than pay attention during her lessons. That seemed about right. Just the other day she spent Potions class thinking of the places she'd hit once the summer got here. How did anyone expect them to still be learning? Might as well had let them graduate early and be done with it. Just saying.
It never occurred to her that 'Apparition' wasn't an everyday word for the Muggles around them. She didn't make a habit of speaking with Muggles so her censor was hardly ever on. What would they be doing eavesdropping anyway? Rude much?
Oh but of course! That lesson! Brilliant Lottie!
Lex gave a firm nod, trying to remember what that had been like. Admittedly it did help a lot...so did that lesson with Botros the other day. It wasn't actually underwater despite the illusion but there was no gravity then too. She got this. Just like Lottie, she was slowly but steadily making her way up, pulling with just the right amount of strength this time. At one point she lost her grip and found herself floating about...was it floating....? So...weird....she didn't even KNOW but she caught hold of the bars again and you know what? Before long, she was at the top but she hadn't been looking to see if Lottie beat her there.
"Made it!" She glanced down at the space they'd struggled through without weight to get up there.
"Don't reckon it'll be very easy getting back down." Oh but look, she could see the orb machine from here.
"Think that guy's about to lose his lunch." She said pointing.
"Ready to try that out??"
