And then the fact that Zahra had called him out on it during class too, that made it even worse. "I will, Professor," he also felt weird coming into her office. It was so... pink. But more practice? He felt his head fall a little. He had practiced a lot. Both in class and outside of it. Divination just wasn't his thing. Last term wasn't even this bad, but something must've happened over the summer. Was it possibly to make your inner eye all foggy over the course of three months?!? Maybe Professor Morgan would know.
Just before he got the chance to ask, she started speaking again. Something about the mind being hard to train? But his mind was impossible to train. It was the worst. The only thing it was good for is plants and animals and now that Beautiful Bentley's job was stolen, it hardly even did that without any interrupting thoughts. "I just... I don't know how to clear my mind, Professor! There's just always so much that I have to think about. So many stories are just jumbling around and I can't get them to go away long enough to be calm," maybe Professor Flamsteed was onto something last term when he said Zander should write stories. There was always so much going on in that little mind. Too bad it was all irrelevant to the situations he faced on the daily. "I um--" Really he didn't want to practice anymore. But, he knew he owed her that much after being so horrible. He was turning into the man he hated the most *GASP* Professor Walton!! "I, okay Professor... That'd be great," he gave her a small smile, though really he didn't want to do the extra mind training or whatnot. She sipped her drink and watched Zander, hoping he was feeling better. She had known it couldn’t have been him to say those things. Happily smiling as he said he would come to her next time he was feeling the way he did before. She didn’t want him to build up the anger and blow like this past time. No he was too nice of a boy to have that happen. She still felt it was lucky she found him like that and not someone else. “I know you will get it!” She would be encouraging and she had faith in all her students. “Stories? What kind of stories?” Maybe they were great ones that needed to be shared, “You know Zander a great way is to write things down. Get a journal or just a stake of parchment. If you don’t want anyone reading them after you write, you could always burn the parchment when finished. Then the thoughts come out, but no one sees them. It does help clear your mind.” She had done this tactic a few times herself. Good he wanted her help, maybe if she could help him train his mind and get him to see, then he would see the success and help others. This could be so perfect! [b] “Are we feeling better now? You really did have me worried. It was the only reason I had you come in today.”[/]b She didn’t want any students upset or angry. Quote:

The Hufflepuff blew gently over the top of his hot chocolate, to cool it before taking a sip. Mmm, it really was very good; you couldn't really beat a good mug of chocolate every now and then. "Tea's good. I like to sit and have tea with Professor Botros from time to time. He loves the stuff. My grandma's the same too, actually. Tried peppermint and that camera-mile stuff, but it didn't really work so well," Toby replied, totally mis-pronouncing 'chamomile' and already going off on a bit of a tangent. "I take potions now though, to calm down, y'know." Nodding.
But... yeah. The SNAC meeting. Yeeeeahhhh. Toby sort of shifted in his seat, still feeling bad but knowing that Professor Morgan appreciated POSITIVE thoughts, a lot like he always had. And... still did? Yeah. Still did. The fifth year nodded slowly, and took another sip from his drink before speaking again. "I figured you were just, like, totally in the zone and stuff, Professor. I didn't take it the wrong way or anything. I was kinda too preoccupied at the time to really think much on it," he replied. Thinking about grandfather stuff and all, probably, and being sort of unnerved or whatever.
Toby couldn't help but smile at the compliment though, about doing a wonderful job. "Thanks Professor Morgan. I do try to make an effort in your class and stuff, so..." he trailed off, smiled, and shrugged a shoulder. "That's great to hear, y'know?" Sip. "I've actually been meaning to visit you for a while, 'cause I really love your lessons and how positive they are and stuff, but I never actually came along to tell you. I'm a big fan of the snap cup." Once she was sitting all comfy and sipping her tea, Cassie glanced back up at Toby as he started talking. "Sometimes it doesn't work. Though the peppermint has always been the thin to relax me." She could understand it not working though. "Potions, really?" Not that it was bad, it just interested her. She never noticed Toby being one to need potions, but she might have missed something, plus with her own bounce she could relate to many of them.
Chuckling more she couldn't disagree, "For that form of Divination you have to be in the most clear zone. So I started early in the day meditating and it just relaxes me so much that I do become less animated." That was at least the word her grandmother used when she would do the mediation with her.
So many times students went under appreciated and they deserved to know that their work wasn't going unnoticed. "Well you are doing a fine job." Her grin grew as he talked about her lessons. "I'm so glad you are enjoying class. I was afraid this term was a bit too hard." She had been really rethinking her lessons. "You like the snap cup! OHMYGOSH!!" she snapped and got up getting it off the table and bringing it back over. "This was something my grandmother taught me for when I feel down. To put things I am proud of in and read them one by one. By the time I'm finished I have forgotten what had upset me and the positive energy is back! I think it works the same way for class, but I'm so glad you like it!" This was soooo exciting that her students liked her cup!
