What was she doing in the hall again? There had been thoughts of making a trip to the library to return the abandoned book in her hands, but that seemed liked an absurd idea now. ALL the second year could do now was flip pages. She was rooted to the spot. She couldn't STOP reading, even though a voice in the back of her mind was telling her she had THINGS she was supposed to be doing. Other things, things involving the common room and her kneazle, but that tiny voice was distant and the book had her FULL attention. So she continued to read as if on auto-pilot, her brown eyes taking in every word.
