The flurry of pixies grew faster as the mischievous little creatures flew around the room, giggling and wreaking havoc. The boy whose hand a few of them were pulling on snapped his hand away so they pulled on his hair instead. And the cookies? The pixies were too busy having fun tossing crumbs at each other to hear how angry the lady had gotten.

But what they did notice was the spells being cast at them. Oh no! The pixies knew exactly what those words meant and they did not like them one bit. Freezing charms were no fun at all, mean humans!

Many of the pixies tried scrambling out of the way, but with the spells coming from a couple different directions, that proved futile. But instead of keeping the pixies in mid-air as one would expect, after a moment the frozen pixies went POOF! Just as quickly and mysteriously as they had arrived, they were gone. And the few that had managed to escape the spells headed towards an open window till POOF they were gone too. Disappeared into thin air.
