The lab technician slooowly walked past her without even taking a glance as he entered the lift. He actually felt for the woman because he could relate. Maybe that was her first day in the Ministry.
He could relate, but that didn't mean he would speak to her.

Sophie stood glued to the spot and watched as the lift travelled up and down, dropping off its passengers or taking up new ones. She had tried to walk in at one time but that had ended with her walking back out again before the lift doors closed. It had been too crowded.

She was debating to succumb and take the stairs when the guy that Aron had pointed out as another lab employee at the Garden Party walked by. Raising her hand to wave at him Sophie called out in a quiet tone. "Hello, can I take the lift with you? I don’t want to ride in the lift alone. Lifts scare me-"

Moving a little closer to the lift she asked curiously "Weren't you the guy that got a big bear hug from a woman at the Garden Party?
