Ian resisted the urge to let out a whoop of joy as the professor said they could go. He gathered up his satchel, placed his quill in it, to make sure that it was secure and stood. He stretched a wee bit as this class had made him feel a bit like he needed a nap and headed for the professor's area near the front of the greenhouse.

Tinker's Log (stardate 2085.01.14)
The Tinker, Ian variety has observed locally produced vegetation and noted some strange symptoms and growth patterns. The young Hufflepuff student performed the following actions and logged them for further study by qualified herbologists aboard ship.
Plant 1 – Elephant ear plant - Yellowing leaves. Trimmed the dying leaves, checked soil and added some water.
Plant 2 – Cactus - Undersized cactus, used Herbivicus
Plant 3 – Buttercup Plant looked a bit undernourished and lacking of light. Added some fertilizer and placed in a nice sunny space.
Tinker, 4th year type feels this is an adequate sample size to predict healthy growth patterns and possible need for preventative measures to ensure an adequate food supply for follow-on explorers.
