He didn’t mind the jokes his dormmates made, sometimes, but not today when the jokes were directed at him. Dax was fine with laughing at himself…just not when others joined in.
“You know what mate? I bet your patronus would be a turtle, it’d see the dementor and it’d be shell life for him after that.”
“Nah, reckon he’d get a chicken flying out o’ his wand, clucking and flapping off in the opposite direction.” The room erupted with laughter again.
