Lex? Lux? And that Ravenclaw girl? Jeez, going on a date with any of THEM was gonna be awkward since he knew them so well and the idea of kissing them was out of the question. THAT is the wand movement. Loop-de-loop." He even demonstrated drawing a bit of a straight line, a loop that went up and then a straight line to finish. Man, if only he liked people. He'd make a brilliant professor.

"Oh and another thing! You need INTENT. With spells, you have to show them that you're the BOSS and you're not gonna take no--" Er. Kid. Twelve year old, probably. Language, Whitty. "That you're not gonna let it beat you. Think about what you want it to do and take a shot!" Go on. Show him what you've got.

Focus Hady! Blinking and shaking the thought from her head she glanced around just in time to see that Grayson was speaking to her now. In fact he was answering her question about lighting up the darkness. Even though the King had done some weird chant making the Runes around them all glow, which by the way was totally cool the young Snake really wanted to learn this spell.

Attention on Grayson she watched the wand movement he was showing her which looked easy enough. And she knew all about the intent part. "I've been on coasters many times, I ride them with my friend back home." Hady told him pulling out her wand and copying the movement he'd just showed her a few times. "Like this?" She asked him preforming a loop-de-loop with her wand.

She did this a few times to get the movement down before she repeated the incantation several times under her breath. "lumos...lumos.." Once she had it down it was time to try it all together.

Making the loop-de-loop with her wand she spoke clearly. "Lumos."

And nothing. Letting out a breath she tried again this time with more intent and focus on what she wanted. Loop-de-loop wand movement and a call of "Lumos!" Nearly instantly the tip of her wand began to glow brightly making Hady grin at Grayson. "Thanks! Now lets find that crab!"

Still smirking proudly she moved her wand into the alcove lighting the area up around them.
