Daphne settled for just the one piece of pie she'd already put on her plate then stepped away from the buffet. It was only then that she got a good look at the man's plate, and Merlin, she wanted to laugh. Not laugh at him, but just laugh at how one person managed to get all those desserts on that plate. "That's a lot of desserts," she said with a smile. Hopefully he wouldn't throw one at her now that she'd said that.

She smiled again, the time a little bigger. "I was wondering when I'd meet somebody I'd be working with. Oh, and my supervisor at that!" she added. This man would be excellent to work for, she'd already concluded. Surely long days in the office wouldn't be a pain with Mr. Dessert leading the way. "I'm really looking forward to getting started. I've been working with dragons for about fourteen years now." Looking around, she added, "Are any of the others here?" The others in their division?
