In the Slytherin's opinion, one needed a good reason to point their wand at someone and that boy had just given her a reason. "Don't you tell me what to do and DON'T you threaten me!" The fourth year reached for her own wand and had it at the ready. "If you think I can't curse you as well then you're so wrong." So, SO wrong.
"I'm not ridiculous!" he shouted in her face. He was getting angry as well and this wasn't good for him. He already had a short temper and he was trying to change that. He even got help with it from his Head of House but this situation made him forget about that for now and his wand hand which was by his side shook a little as he lowered his wand in his hand. He might snap the thing in two if he wasn't careful.
Gryffindor loyalty. Kevin snorted.
"There's no such thing as house loyalty" he remembered clearly that the whole class had been against him in potions last year after he ACCIDENTALLY dropped a vial. Oh yeah, he hadn't forgotten about that incident.

When the girl reached for her wand and was now pointing it at him, the third year jumped back and drew his wand as well.
