He thought too, it would help him explain magic more to his mum. Thank you professor. It really is exciting. I thought when the mist filled the ball I was really close. And I appreciate the confidence you have in my ability. He meant it. He had lost some of his confidence when the feast thing had happened, but he was slowly getting back into a groove.
When she mentioned that clearing one's mind took practice, Ian nodded. He couldn't imagine some of the thoughts racing through his mind allowing themselves to be pushed into the background, but he would have to. He wouldn't be able to handle it if they wouldn't. I like the idea of writing the thoughts down and casting them into the flames. I'll try that later. Thank you very much, professor. He remembered a question he had and asked. Professor. How do we handle our family members who know we are magic users, but don't understand? I'm muggle-born, a term I'd never heard until I arrived at Hogwarts. No one in my area is a wizard, that I know and so the summers are a bit challenging for me at times. She sat quietly listening and smiling. "It did mean you were very close, but something was getting in your way with the connection between you and the Crystal ball. It only takes a small distraction to lose that connection. Even now after all my practice I still struggle at times." She wasn't afraid to admit that at all. It was just normal. "It's one of my favorite ways to get things off my chest and forget about them." No need to carry around so much negative just burn them away.
Her brow did raise at his question. It wasn't one she had personal experience with. "Does your family understand? I know for some it's harder, but if they understand and love you then it shouldn't be a problem at all. They will except anything. If they don't, then most the people I know try to help educate them into understanding or they just use it sparingly around their family if at all to help make things easier." She knew that wasn't the best answer, but it's all she really had. "You know my grandmother works as a muggle psychic. She is very well known and loved by the London community. So even though muggles don't understand it and most don't even know it's around, they want it to be. So they go to people like psychics to help." It was interesting to her that they would. "Can you come to Diagon Alley to be with your friends from school during the summer? No student can use magic outside of school if they are underage, so you at least have that knowing that you aren't the only wizard not able to practice." Giving a soft smile, she didn't want him to be discouraged. Quote:

She blushed and shrugged. "I do...but I do miss the friends I had at Durmstrang, too." Eddie Darcy...oh boy, she missed that boy most of all. And not hearing from him in a long time--yeah, it was sort of eating at her right now. BUT she quickly shook her head, coming back down to earth when she asked if it showed--"No! It doesn't. I actually just asked a friend to tell me about all the professors--" she said with a nod. "And yeah." Nice way to end a sentiment, Eden.
Seers could do all of that? Eden just found this SO interesting! How come she hadn't known all of this before, eh? "Well. you're a great professor. And one of my favorites so far." She beamed and stood up. "I should be going--I have SO much homework--" she had to draw Bulby! Hehehe. She hoped it came out okay--maybe she would go see Professor Hottie Walton... >__> She chuckled, because she had heard it all before. "Well it's a chatter, but it's the visions that are more clear. I can see what they are about to do, so for instance my sweet cats over there. They can't get away with anything. I catch them every time. " She never missed a beat when it came to those two and they always tried. She just shrugged and sipped her tea, "My calling was Divination like most of my family. I love it." She couldn't see herself doing anything else. "Of course you do. How couldn't you. Friends are something very special and if you had close ones at your old school you will always miss them, but there is always owls and holidays." It was always so nice to see friends even if it was just for a quick visit. "I hope they at least told you good things." It wouldn't be nice if someone wasn't saying good things about them. "That's very sweet of you to say Eden." Oh she was leaving already. "Well it was very nice of you to stop by, come by anytime." She did love visitors.
