What. Huh. What. No. No he wasn't!! He was the top point earner last year. Beautiful Bentley was SO proud of him. Even Flailsteed liked him. He wasn't a disgrace! It just- he just- what? Zander was in total shock at those words. They hit him like a brick. No, like an ice cold brick. Like a HUGE block of ice. The more the guy said, the more Zander just stood in silence and sputtered.

And then he shut the door. Shut the door on Zander's face. And again, the Gryffindor just stood there. Stood there both in shock, anger, in with a pile of sadness. It took him maybe ten minutes to regain the feeling in his toes, but once he did he just continued to stand there and stare at the door. This wasn't fair! He didn't need to man up! He wasn't a disappointment...... Or maybe he was?

And with that, he hung his head and turned away. Making his way into the castle. Refraining from letting the tears escape his eyes.
