He did weelllllll!!!!! ... and for that reason he was happy to overlook being called MISTER ROGERS... because that was gross, he didn't like it. ZEKE was just fine. In fact, HOW the man knew his name was Rogers was beyond him, considering he'd only written his first name on his tag identifyer thing.

Maybe he could read minds or something?

The knockback jinx... he didn't know it. He should learn it. Okkaaayyy. The incantation was easy enough, he couldn't imagine himself getting that wrong. But, what was the wand movement? Considering the Professor didn't specify he figured it was safe to assume it was a simple POINT... like so many other spells he'd learned were. So, pointing his Larch wand at his quill on the desk, he practiced the jinx thing.

Point! "Flipendo!" ...........................

Nothing.

Point! "Flipendo!" A little more intent this time. His quill shrunk. SHRUNK?! NOOO!! HE NEEDED THAT! "Engorgio." Once his quill was back to... roughly normal size - perhaps a little bigger than previously, he tried again. This time, he mixed things up a little bit.

Instead of pointing, he twirled his wand in a clockwise direction at his quill. "Flipendo."

FIRE.

IT. WAS. ON. FIRE.

Acting quickly, Zeke refrained from flopping his body ONTO the fire to suffocate it, instead he used his WAND to save the day. "Aguamanti!" At least that was one spell he knew. Sigh.

Nobody saw that, right? RIGHT?

There was no way he was going to learn a spell he didn't know, so instead he may as well focus his efforts on the potting the plant bit. If it bounced on him, hit him or anything like that, so be it. He could always tackle it, no?

He wiped the water off his desk, made sure his belongings were neatly arranged. He pulled on his dragon hide gloves and took a quick note... with a muggle pen he kept as backup ... of what he needed.

-soil
-bouncing bulb

... It looked straight forward.
