The Knockback Jinx wasn't too difficult a spell, and Toby had used it a few times in the Duelling Arena against some of the dummies. He pulled out his wand and pointed it at his back by his feet, muttering the incantation.

"Flipendo."

Just like that, his bag was knocked further under the table, or it would have been had he not quickly stopped it with his foot. So, that was the spell practice done, now onto the fun Herbology-ing stuff. The Hufflepuff pulled on his dragonshide gloves and went up with the general throng of students to get a pot and then went directly to where the soil was kept.

Instead of filling up the pot only halfway with soil, Toby filled it riiiiiiight up to the top, but he did this on purpose. When the fifth year returned to his table again, he pulled an empty tray towards him and scooped the top half of the soil out of the pot and into that. This way, once he had completed the first step of potting the bulb, he'd have some more soil immediately on hand to half bury it afterwards.

First though, he'd need the bouncing bulb, and this was where it started to get tricky.
