Ian was pleased the professor also considered his information interesting. There were lots of great (and not so great) responses given by his classmates. As he lived near the sea, most of what he knew of plants came from that type of plant. He was particularly interested in phytoplankton. He raised his hand and offered this tidbit.
Phytoplankton, when they bloom in large numbers can produce some of extremely toxic substances. He wondered if that would be something useful in potions. He began to get a little lost in that thought. He should ask Professor Culloden sometime. He bet sea hags knew how to do it.
