Ah, there was an Eden! Archie grinned, and headed over to his older Claw friend. "Mind if I join you?" he asked with a beamy smile. "Can't guarantee I'll be any good if I have to work with you, but I'll try my best."
Eden's eyes widened at Archie--SQUEEE. She just ADORED the little guy and HAD to give him a little hug as he sat next to her.
"Not at all, Archie!" she said, with a huuuuge smile a wink.
"Hey--I won't be any good either--and I'm like--a million years old--" she smirked and patted his back. She would so be looking out for him in here.
NO ONE HURT ARCHIE.
Nope.
Eden had her EYES on all the meanies--Ahem, Alexa.
SPOILER!!: Connnnor

It never popped into the Gryffindor's mind that maybe it was because he was a Gryffindor, he had yet to experience any house-ism.
He heard Eden who of course wanted him to sit with her, which he never minded, she was good company, Layla was there and some firstie too.. Sure he wasn't a fan of firsties but he always did his best to be nice to everyone. "Sure, why not." He moved over to their table. "Hi, Layla... Eden who is your other friend?" He asked and made sure to smile and seem nice, he just didn't spend a lot of time with younger students is all.
And for some reason Eden was blushing like someone had hit her cheek and the redness wouldn't go away.. she continued talking to the rather mean looking Professor... it only took Connor moments before he leaned over and whispered in her ear. "Do you like him or something? You're being weird."
OY. Connor was here WHOOH. She smiled and was so happy to have friends in this class! She nudged him playfully and just...looked between the two. "
Okay..Connor, this is Archie--he's in my house. He's cool." she said, you know, because Connor and Eden were TOTALLY the coolest older kids ever. She also turned to Layla, too, and eyed the blonde.
"This is Archie, Layla." And Archie heard the girl's name, right? RIGHT.
Okay. Done with intro's. Was Professor Walton looking her way? Should she hide? HEr cheeks were still flushed--
CONNOR. She growled in his direction and kicked him under the table--SHOVE IT, GRYFFINDOR.
SPOILER!!: Gosh, Walton.

Plus the Ravenclaw were more trusted than the Gryffindors, so Andrew's slid back to the entrance.
Well, well, well. Look who we have here. Walton's face turned very serious at the sight of the foreign tree-climber. This was one to be watched all the time in case he decided to hop up on a plant or a pot or a table! "You, too," He replied. Whatever the boy mattered next was unheard by the Herbologist. Why was the girl starting a conversation with him? Andrew was confused and didn't really know if he had to answer. But because she was smiling and all. "It just started," The day that is. He didn't yet form a feeling, did she decide that her day was fine already? Rash decisions. Anything could happen. She was talking even more. "It's fine," He agreed with her and moved further AWAY before she said something else. Another tiny Ravenclaw. Andrew watched the kid until he made sure he was settled behind one of the tables A Slytherin entered next. He wasn't watched, though. Andrew trusted Slytherins but he didn't know if he had to change that now. Guess he'd find out.
"Hello and thank you, Miss," He told the Slytherin. She was one of the few to welcome him. Most were snakes, too. Juuust taking notes. Glancing at the time, Andrew figured that that was enough waiting. Time to start. He walked back to his table and stood behind it. Pausing for a moment, he watched the kids, took a breath then he cleared his throat rather loudly. Quiet down, people. "Good day, everyone" Or was it going to be one? "For those who don't know, I'm Professor Andrew Walton, your new Herbology Professor," Was anyone going to start crying because Bentley left? eyes on you mister Zander Adair. His eyes scanned the faces and he wondered if he had to say more. Eh, probably not.
"Like you all know, in Herbology we will be studying plants. All sort of plants; both magical and mundane," If anyone didn't know that, then that was a huge probelm. "But before I begin with the plant we're going to work on for today. I'd like to ask a few questions, just to pave the way ahead." And see what's he dealing with. How basic did he have to go for some of them. "I want each one of you to tell me anything they know about plants. Anything at all. Whether it's a fact, a characteristic, a color, a shape, a myth, a SHORT story, anything you know." Did they hear the word SHORT? He didn't have all day.
ooc: This lesson has officially started! =) Do not post your charrie arriving late just pretend you've been here all along. And as for the question, it's very general, there isn't one correct answer. All you need is be creative. Next post will be in like 20-ish hours.
So he was talking back--THIS WAS GOOD AH. Eden just smiled lazily and rested her chin on her hand and stared....a bit before answering...
"Well I'm sure it will be a good day, professor--" Yeah. She blinked a lot before realizing she had been in a TRANCE.
Nooooo Eden couldn't afford another crush--but this class. OH she would trying SO hard in this class. What did she know about plants? WELL she raised her hand quickly, still blushing like mad, and tried her best to answer in a SMART way.
"Plants are mostly green--they use the sun--you know, as food--do that photosynthesis thing--and they help make oxygen." RIght? Eden's plant knowledge was limited, Also, she wasn't even sure if ALL plants were like this. Were magical plants like this?
"And flowers are pretty." That surely counted, right?
"And smell nice." Why was she still talking?
